Event Description
In this two hour workshop, Baby Wants Candy draws on the foundations in our hit spin off hip hop improv show Shamilton to teach you fundamentals of free-style improv rapping. We will help you become very comfortable using rap in your improv to create successful set-up-payoff rhymes on the fly, find the hook, and to help move songs and plot forward in your improvs.
One excellent aspect about improv rap (as opposed to regular improv) is that you're able to easily rehearse on your own, and BWC will give you a ton of experience and exercises to keep building your skills post-workshop. No musical or rap experience necessary!
