Dance Theatre New Trier 2022

The Dance Division proudly presents  Dance Theater New Trier  in concert on May 5th and 6^th, 7pm at the Northfield campus, Cornog Auditorium.

DTNT provides an opportunity for sophomore-senior and select freshman dancers to choreograph their own dances and collaborate with their peers. The performance will include five original student works by choreographers Grace Bittman, Ashley Chow, Alexa Comess, Diana Djenev, Rebecca Dubey, Julia Larson, Sierra Miller, and Nora Rolison. Each dance is a never-before-seen, one-of-a-kind creation. The student choreographers create their dances with an intent that is completely original to them.

This year, The Dance Division is also thrilled to present an original work by professional guest artist and New Trier alumna Kari Hoglund ’17, created especially for 10 DTNT dancers. Also on the program is a special performance by another New Trier alum, Stephen Blood ’13, professional dancer and choreographer.

DTNT will host a bake sale after the performance on Friday, May 6. Proceeds will be donated to UNICEF– Protect the Children of Ukraine, which is working with partners to reach vulnerable children and families with essential services – including health, education, protection, water, and sanitation – as well as life-saving supplies.
