Improv Class: Curious Comedy Youth Camp!

Have fun working as a team, making connections and building confidence! 

We are excited to be offering week-long improv classes for Middle School (12-14 years) and High School (15-18 years) students. 
Over five days, students will be introduced to the fundamentals of what makes improv comedy great for all ages. Each camp is led by professional improv comedians and instructors who guide students through games and collaborative exercises in an engaging active exploration of embracing the fun, making awesome mistakes, and creating together.

Whether you’re already a young performer or just discovering your creative side, Curious Youth Camps teach skill sets that apply to all areas of life, from building skills of communication and collaboration, to thinking on your feet and courageously embracing new opportunities! They’re fun to take with friends and an awesome place to make new ones.

Your Instructor: Kristen Paige

Kristen has been teaching and performing for over 25 years. Raised in the Midwest, she obtained her BA in Theatre from Truman State University in Missouri before heading to New York City to perform Off-Broadway. This was followed by a move to Los Angeles where she acted professionally and then pivoted to arts education, spending 10 years as a high school drama instructor (where she founded an extracurricular improv team and sketch comedy troupe). She teaches at several schools in Portland and is excited to now join Curious!

ATTENTION:

COVID POLICY: At this time we are not requiring proof of vaccination or masks to attend our shows and events. We strongly encourage those who can get vaccinated to do so for your safety and the safety of others. If you feel more comfortable wearing a mask, we encourage you to do so. Many of our staff are still choosing to wear masks, so it's likely you will not be the only one in a mask. We support you taking whatever precautions feel right to you!

• All classes at Curious Comedy are anti-racist, anti-misogynist, anti-ableist, anti-homophobic, anti-transphobic, anti-ageist class that strives to be inclusive of all experiences. We are always learning and aim to keep the class safe for everyone.


• Class minimum is 6 people. Class maximum is 16 people.


• All sales are final and Curious will be unable to issue a refund for class purchases. Curious reserves the right to change the Instructor of a class at any time, and doing so will not result in a refund.
