Alexis Cuadrado and Cuarteto de Palabras

Award-winning composer, producer, bandleader, bassist, and educator Alexis Cuadrado and his new group, Cuarteto de Palabras, present a set of music inspired by the poetic and folkloric traditions of Spain and Latin America. Drawing from such diverse sources as the surrealist poems of Federico Garcia Lorca, the moving protest songs of Vı́ctor Jara, or the exuberant flamenco pop of the 1980s, Cuarteto de Palabras explore the Hispanic diaspora within an intimate setting that promises to enlighten your mind and stir your soul.

The concert will be presented in partnership with The Jazz Gallery during Cuadrado’s residency at The Pocantico Center.

All participants must provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 (two weeks after second dose in a two-dose series, such as Pfizer or Moderna, or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson).
