2020 OILFIELD CRAWFISH BOIL-OFF

   The Oilfield Crawfish Boil-Off is a charitable event sponsored by the Buras Volunteer Fire Department. The purpose is to raise funds for department improvement projects, such as purchasing small equipment items, in house training, fire prevention at local schools, summer camps, vacation bible school, Fourth of July fireworks display, National Night Out against Crime, Local High School Home Coming Parade, Halloween Trick or Treat Extravaganza, Lighting of Community Christmas Tree, Community Christmas Parade, Christmas Angel display on lighting/power poles in Buras fire district and to maintain the American Flag on Cazezu Drive while providing an entertainment event for all to enjoy a good-natured competition for those in the community who wish to prove they have the best Boiled Crawfish.
