A paranormal fixer (Reeves) teams up with a police detective (Weisz) to try and stop Hell from invading Earth. Though the overall adaptation was disappointing to fans of the original comic books (your humble programmer included), it can’t be denied that Swinton’s performance as the half-angel Gabriel is a shining light and that the film itself is ripe for reassessment.
