The latest film from Emmy-nominated documentary filmmaker Ryan White (The Case Against 8, Good Night Oppy), COME SEE ME IN THE GOOD LIGHT tells the poignant and unexpectedly funny love story of poets Andrea Gibson (named Colorado's poet laureate in 2023) and Megan Falley as they face Gibson's incurable cancer diagnosis with joy, wit, and an unshakable partnership. The film invites us into Gibson and Falley's home, capturing the mundane and the monumental in equal measure. From hospital visits to impromptu dance breaks, from lively dinner parties with close friends to late-night existential musings, White creates a space that feels less like a documentary and more like an invitation for a leisurely visit. Produced by comedian and writer Tig Notaro, the film received the Festival Favorite Award at the Sundance Film Festival, among other honors on the festival circuit.
