Writer, art historian, and photographer Teju Cole and poet Ishion Hutchinson, recipient of the prestigious Joseph Brodsky Rome Prize among many other awards, visit LIVE for a wide-ranging conversation about their creative influences and inspirations. Cole, who was born in Michigan and raised in Nigeria, and Hutchinson, who moved to the US from Jamaica, share a mutual admiration for each other’s work, which touches on place, memory, and the notion of home.
