Meryl Ain
The Takeaway Men
In this novel, twin sisters Bronka and Johanna and their parents arrive in the US from a Displaced Persons Camp. In the years after World War II, they experience the difficulties of adjusting to American culture as well as the burgeoning fear of the Cold War.

Anne Sebba
Ethel Rosenberg
In June 1953, Julius and Ethel Rosenberg were led from Death Row and electrocuted moments apart, both convicted of conspiracy to commit espionage for the Soviet Union, despite the fact that the US government’s evidence against Ethel was shaky at best and based on the perjury of her own brother. 70 years after the trial, acknowledged biographer, Anne Sebba, tells Esther’s story for the first time with the full use of the dramatic and tragic prison letters she exchanged with her husband, her lawyer, and her psychotherapist over a three-year period.
