Event Description
Clearwater Sails

Have you ever wondered what it's like to sail on a tall ship, perhaps even to steer the ship and handle its rigging? Would you like to imagine what it was like fifty years ago when Pete Seeger first sailed the Clearwater up the Hudson? Now is your chance!

At Revival, we are proud to offer festival-goers not only the chance to come aboard dockside for free tours, but the opportunity to sail with us on either of these historic tall ships. Sails are two hours long, and leave from the barge at the Working Waterfront area of the festival. The licensed captain and professional crew will take you and your family for a peaceful sail around Haverstraw Bay and you are invited to help raise the sail and take the helm, or just kick back and enjoy the view. You are welcome to bring a picnic and you won’t even miss out on the music as we staff each vessel with hardy, sea-going musicians to belt out a shanty or two.

NOTES: Please note: Your sail ticket alone will not get you into the festival. You also need to purchase a ticket to the festival for the day of your sail for each member of your party.

Ships depart promptly at scheduled times. Passengers should assemble at the waterfront at least 15 minutes prior to departure. There are no refunds for missed departures. All passengers are required to have a festival ticket in order to sail.

In case of a weather-related sail cancellation, ticket holders will be given the option of rescheduling their cancelled sail either during the festival (subject to supply) or at another point during the 2019 sailing season. Ticket holders wishing to receive a refund should contact the Clearwater office the week following the festival.
