Classic Mansion Tour 2021

Tour ticket holders do not need to purchase a Daily Grounds Pass, as tour tickets include grounds access.

Perfect for first-time guests, this one-hour tour covers two floors and treats visitors to a rare glimpse of the lavish decorative arts and furniture left to Lyndhurst by previous owners. The tour, which lasts an hour, visits approximately 16 rooms and involves climbing one staircase. You’ll visit the Mansion's first floor, including the parlor, filled with furniture designed by architect A.J. Davis, and the sumptuous Civil War-era dining room. The second-floor centers around the opulent Grand Picture Gallery hung with an original collection of European paintings. Impressive Tiffany stained glass windows adorn the gallery and adjacent bedrooms.

As New York State continues to evaluate pandemic-related restrictions, Lyndhurst requests all visitors provide proof of full Covid vaccination or a negative PCR test result within 72 hours of your event date and to wear masks indoors as a courtesy to fellow visitors and staff. We will continue to evaluate these policies and make changes in the future, as appropriate.

Please present tour tickets and proof of vaccination or negative test results to the Welcome Center staff when checking in for your tour.

All visitors must have a pre-purchased ticket to enter the Mansion. A limited number of tickets are available for each tour, and tickets do sell out. 

All ticket purchases are non-refundable.
