CHROMA COMEDY FEST: BROKE GRAVY and Friends

Chroma Comedy Festival Headliners: BROKE GRAVY with Malik and Rasheed and Affirmative Action

BROKE GRAVY
Broke Gravy uses improv comedy and storytelling to discover truth between the blurry lines of the daily grind.

As three Black Americans, they utilize their unique voices to spark thoughtful conversations on and off comedy stages. Through a candid dialogue, they exchange their experiences with those of the audience—exploring deeper perspectives on comedy, relationships, and humanity.

Also, they're funny AF.

Opening for BROKE GRAVY - killer Baltimore duo MALIK & RASHEED and kickass Canadian ensemble AFFIRMITIVE REACTION

MALIK & RASHEED
Malik and Rasheed are two seasoned improvisers who have mastered the art of making audiences roar with laughter. With 11 years of partnership under their belts, their comedic synergy is unmatched. Their journey began as part of the esteemed troupe, Casually Dope, where they cultivated their unique brand of humor and honed their improvisational skills. Throughout their career, Malik and Rasheed have left an indelible mark on the comedy scene. From hosting Baltimore Pride Block parties to winning improv competitions, their infectious energy and quick wit have captivated audiences far and wide.

AFFIRMATIVE REACTION
Affirmative Reaction is a Pan-Asian improv group based in Toronto. They perform 45-minute sets together every week in shows such as “All of us are Asian” and “All of our Parents are Immigrants”. Comprised of actors, sketch comedians, stand-ups, and writers, this diverse group brings a range of skills and perspectives to the stage. They have performed together in cities such as Lisbon, New York, and London. “All of our Parents are Immigrants” is an improv comedy show that explores the joys and challenges of growing up in an immigrant household. The show is inspired by audience member secrets collected by the cast before the show.
