Campus SuperStar 2016

Campus SuperStar is a highly entertaining production showcasing the dynamism and diversity of San Diego’s next generation and benefiting Hillel of San Diego.

Following its sold out debut last March, Campus SuperStar returns to San Diego on Sunday evening, April 10, 2016! Once again, ten highly talented vocalists, selected from hundreds of college students who audition, will take the stage for a remarkable American Idol-type production showcasing the dynamism and diversity of San Diego’s next generation.

Moving to a larger venue to accommodate the demand to witness this highly entertaining “Broadway-esque” show, the students will compete at The Irwin M Jacobs Qualcomm Hall in Sorrento Valley for the $5,000 grand prize. And, just like last year, celebrity judges will be on hand to narrow down the field, but it is the audience who will crown the next Campus SuperStar!

HONOREES

The 2016 Campus SuperStar event honors three generations of a family committed to strengthening Jewish identity and building community in San Diego. It is a privilege to honor Joseph “Chickie” Glickman, Elaine Galinson and Laura Galinson. Their visionary leadership and generous philanthropy have advanced many Jewish, civic and artistic institutions throughout San Diego that impact the lives of so many individuals from diverse backgrounds. We honor their dedication to our community and for instilling these values in the next generation.
