Composer in Focus Salon: The Calidore String Quartet with Composer Caroline Shaw

Known as "the music of friends," chamber music creates an intimate connection between musician and audience. This unique salon-style event during The Calidore String Quartet residency at the Pocantico Center will feature a performance of Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Caroline Shaw’s “Three Essays,” followed by a conversation with the artists and composer, moderated by Elizabeth Helgeson, Chamber Music Society’s director of artistic planning and administration.

All participants must provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 (two weeks after second dose in a two-dose series, such as Pfizer or Moderna, or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson).
