BYOB Book Drive - Washington, DC

Do you care about literacy? Do you like to party with other booknerds? Do both with Book Riot, the Harry Potter Alliance, and the DC Public Library Foundation! As a kick-off to the Accio Books campaign and in honor of World Book Night, we’re throwing events in three cities on April 23 to collect books for literacy charities, feature some of our favorite bookish people, and generally geek out.

Join us at the Martin Luther King Jr Memorial branch of the DC Public Library! Admission: one new or gently-used book to donate (more than one welcome!). Drop by the branch any time after 9:30am to donate books and test your sleuthing skills with a library-wide scavenger hunt; then come by at 4:30pm for a prize ceremony, goodies, and snacks, followed by an afterparty at Penn Social. All books collected will be donated to Books for America.
