Bun in the Oven

Theatre of the Beyond is proud to present our monthly incubator series for new plays: Bun in the Oven! Each month, we will feature a Chicago playwright and focus on helping them flesh out their new work. A birth, if you will.

This will be a two part series. The first night we’ll do a laid back reading of the Playwright’s work, and actors can email us in advance to read, or just show up! There will be a talkback after for the Playwright to get feedback on their work. The second night we will have a lightly blocked staged reading, and the Playwright will have made edits to the script with the feedback from night one. This is a very fun, informal, and stress-free event!
