The Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta (MJCCA), Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta (JFGA), American Jewish Committee (AJC) and the Consulate General of Israel to the Southeastern US, invite you to a timely and inspiring conversation with Arabs and Israelis from around the Middle East and North Africa to discuss the Israel-Hamas War, the impact on the Middle East and the effects on the Abraham Accords and hope for peace. Featuring speakers from Sharaka, a non-profit and non-governmental organization established in 2020 by people from Israel, The United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain after the signing of The Abraham Accords.


The doors will open at 6:30 pm; please arrive early to find your seats as the program will start promptly at 7:00 pm. The discussion, followed by audience Q & A, will last approximately 90 minutes. 


Refreshments will follow the program.

Panelists:


Fatema Al Harbi – Bahrain
Sharaka’s Gulf Affairs Director, author, peace ambassador. Fatema Al Harbi is a Bahraini author, an influencer, and peace ambassador. She is Sharaka’s Director of Gulf Affairs. She holds degrees in government and management and is currently pursuing a doctorate in business management.


Dr Ahmed Alkhuzaie – Bahrain
Sharaka Director of Political Affairs, Political Consultant, and Author. Dr. Alkhuzaie is a Bahraini Political Consultant, and was managing partner of the DC based Political Consultancy Firm ‘Khuzaie Associates LLC’. He is the author of ‘Kingdom of Bahrain: Political Review,” and other works on Gulf politics, political campaigns, and management.


Youssef Elazhari – Morocco
Youssef is Sharaka’s Morocco Director, marketing specialist, and civil society activist. He participated in the World Economic Forum Global Shaper’s program, and is active in different civil initiatives in Morocco, especially around providing access to education for girls in rural areas.


Dan Feferman - Israel
Dan Feferman is Sharaka’s Executive Director. He is an author, speaker, researcher, and media personality focusing on the Middle East, Israeli politics and the Jewish world. He co-chairs the Gulf-Israel Policy Forum and was a fellow at the Jewish People Policy Institute.


Rawan Osman – Syria/Lebanon
Peace activist, Sharaka advisory board member. A native of Damascus and Beirut, Osman is an MA student of Jewish and Islamic Studies in Germany, an author and peace activist. She is formerly with The Center for Peace Communications, which works to promote peace and tackle radicalism in the Middle East. Osman is active in various efforts to tackle radicalism in the Arab world, fight antisemitism and promote peace with Israel.


Loay Sharif – Saudi Arabia/ UAE
Loay Sharif is a Saudi born social media influencer and marketing expert based in the UAE. Loay is a linguist and historian, fluent in Hebrew and well versed in Jewish history and text, and uses his popular social media channels to promote peace through teaching about history and linguistics. He is a Sharaka advisory board member.


Dalia Ziada – Egypt
Dalia Ziada is an Egyptian researcher and writer. She is the author of "The Curious Case of the Three-Legged Wolf - Egypt: Military, Islamism, and Liberal Democracy" and other internationally acclaimed non-fiction books on Middle East politics. She currently works as the Chairperson of the Liberal Democracy Institute, and executive director of MEEM Center for Middle East and Eastern Mediterranean Studies.’
