Building Cultures of Resilient Trust

Wherever two or more are gathered, there is eventually going to be a kerfuffle. Conflict in some form is inevitable when passionate people seek to collaborate, navigate change together or grow quickly towards an aspirational goal. Trust will eventually be tested, damaged or even broken. Our success depends upon what happens next. Resentment or resilience?
The path of resilience requires more than team building. Your team cannot escape from enough rooms, throw enough axes or share enough donuts to compensate for damaged trust! Rather, we must demonstrate and equip our people for brave communication and the ability to speak up and stand in integrity amidst disagreement, misunderstanding and the human moments in which our words or actions do not align with our deeper values. When we’re able to recover from these moments and restore true connection, we have a culture of resilient trust.
That is the sole focus of this workshop: learning the key maneuvers you can implement as soon as a trust-threatening moment happens in order to prevent additional damage and restore connection as soon as possible.
You’ll learn:
- The Core Five: skills borrowed from improvised comedy which are directly applicable to brave communication
- The 4 critical culture defining moments in which it’s most important to put those skills into action
- Several tools and best practices from the Mindful Improv Thinking framework to transform moments of tension into opportunities for deepening trust
This event is lead by Andrea Flack-Wetherald, Founder and President of The Center for Brave Communication. She is the bestselling author of two books that bring together skills from improvised comedy and their applications for repairing trust through brave communication.
