Celebrate the much-anticipated new edition of photographer Roy DeCarava’s historic collaboration with the poet Langston Hughes, The Sweet Flypaper of Life, with art historian and publisher Sherry Turner DeCarava. Originally published in 1955, this iconic bestselling book captures daily life in Harlem through a poetic dialogue of images and words. The program features a reading displaying images from the book and visual presentation, followed by a conversation with Sherry Turner DeCarava.
