Event Description

Brittany Allen is a multi-disciplinary artist, with an extensive body of work as an Emmy-winning actor, (Popclaw in 'The Boys'; 'Schitt's Creek'; 'All My Children'; 'Jigsaw'...) who is now also emerging as one of the most exciting young female composers to watch. Her first score was for the critically acclaimed indie What Keeps You Alive (SXSW '18) which was named a NYTimes Critic's Pick, one of Rolling Stone's Top Ten Horror Films of 2018, and hit the Top Ten films on Netflix. Since then, Allen has scored 'American Horror Stories', the anthology spin-off of the iconic AHS franchise; two seasons of the CW / Netflix anthology 'Two Sentence Horror Stories'. Blumhouse's 'Torn Hearts' and Lionsgate's 'Scrambled', the latter of which had its premiere at SXSW 2023. Allen crafts moving, dark, melodic themes and fresh, edgy sounds, leaning deeply into the character's emotional journey.
As a songwriter and producer her proclivity to dark material meets her pop sensibility. Allen most recently released her second self produced EP, 'Dying In LA'.

Allen was born and raised in Toronto, and is currently based in LA.
