Guitar Workshop with Brent Mason and John Carroll

Join The Guitar Sanctuary as we present a very special Guitar Workshop with guitarist Brent Mason and special guest John Carroll on Monday October 12th from 7:30-9:30pm at The Sanctuary Music & Events Center.

Take advantage of this amazing opportunity to hear from one of the most recorded guitarists in music history as he talks about his time in Nashville, his approaches to playing, how he gets some of his signature tones, and more.

Brent will also be backed up by fellow guitarist John Carroll and a rhythm section to demonstrate the techniques he uses in a real world setting when doing recording sessions or playing live.

Tickets are just $75 for this 2 hour event, and limited to only 100 people to maintain an intimate setting.

Brent Mason is one of the most recorded guitarists in history. As well as being a Grammy Award winning artist he is also a 14 time winner of the Academy of Country Music (ACM) Guitarist of the Year Award, and a 2 time winner of the CMA Award Musician of the Year (being nominated every year since 1991). He has been named as one of the top ten session guitarists in the world, joining the ranks of Jimmy Page, Larry Carlton, Tommy Tedesco and Steve Cropper.  Brent has played on well over a thousand albums and continues to add to this extensive resume.

Although Brent works mainly as a studio musician he has produced several albums. In November 2013, Mason collaborated with online education site JamPlay.com to put together a series of lessons for aspiring guitarists. From 2003-2010 Valley Arts Guitar (a division of Gibson Guitars) joined with Brent to create and manufacture the Valley Arts Brent Mason Signature Guitar.  In 2012 Brent joined forces with PRS Guitars to help create the Brent Mason Signature PRS Model Guitar.  In addition he has been affiliated with Wampler Pedals for years and his “Hot Wired” Brent Mason Pedal is one of their best selling products.  

Raised in South Texas, now living in Central Texas, via Nashville, John Carroll has played locally, toured regionally, nationally and internationally over the past 30 years, and been a session musician on both regional and national levels. He is currently the lead guitarist and musical director for TX Music artist Cory Morrow, who he has played with on and off since 2000, with a couple of stints in Nashville mixed in there. John is also currently working on his very own (and very first) album of instrumental music and is excited to share it with the public when it is completed.
