From the Big Island, we welcome Brad Bordessa, an 'ukulele and Hawaiian music virtuoso known for his dynamic teaching style, both online at Live Ukulele and at the esteemed George Kahumoku's annual workshop. Brad brings a fresh perspective to the next generation of Hawaiian musicians, sharing his expertise and fostering a love for the instrument. He'll be joined by Maui's own Kevin Brown, a highly respected slack key guitar master renowned for his soulful playing and deep aloha spirit. Kevin, leader of the group Ola Hou and a recipient of a Nā Hōkū Hanohano Slack Key Legacy Award, beautifully blends intricate fingerpicking with heartfelt vocals. Guiding you through the evening will be the talented guitarist and host, Shem Kahawaiʻi, a rising star in Hawaiian slack key guitar. The lovely Wainani Kealoha, with her captivating hula, will bring the stories to life through graceful movement.
