Bollywood Dance Workshop: Exploring Rasas (emotions/flavors) through Indian pop, folk and fusion dance a BFF 24 in 25 Free Event

It's BFF 24 in 25, the 9th Annual BFF Fringe Festival of FREE Theatre, February 25 through April 4, the only FREE Fringe Festival in the nation. offering 35 in-person plays, workshops and family-oriented events, today presenting:

BOLLYWOOD DANCE WORKSHOP

An introduction in exploring emotions, expressions, and dances stemming from Indian classical, folk, and pop/fusion movement. Many art traditions stem from the Natyasastra (Indian Text on the Performing Arts) and these forms have undergone many changes in Indian history. The performer is like a cook, and the bhavas (emotions) are like ingredients that cook through tapas (heat/practice). The rasa (flavors) are then experienced by the spectators. We will play with these 8-9 Universal emotions through storytelling and dance while understanding the Ego. Led by Mayuri Bhandari.
