Blues & Bourbon: Zen Voodoo

After nearly 20 years of shared stage and band experience, Dana Moret and Steve Dunne launched Zen Voodoo in 2019 before the pandemic hit. Playing their debut showcase in the "Blues & Bourbon"  series at Sacramento's Starlet Lounge and the East Sac Pops in the Park concert, the new band features a mix of nostalgic soulful blues with a modern pop rock beat that elevates their show to another level.  Combining their years of co-written pieces and a few respective solo numbers that had yet to see the light in this incarnation, the duo's fresh take and musical prowess is featured in their full band, after years of writing and performing together in Lydia Pense & Cold Blood and Mr. December. Zen Voodoo's wide span of blues-based, infectious R&B beats will fit right in on the Sacramento music scene as the world returns to live music.
