Event Description

Frick Environmental Center hosts a quarterly community potluck dinner - join us! After the potluck, all are welcome to stay for a discussion of the book "The Nature Fix" by Florence Williams as part of the Biophilia Book Club.

If you're not sure how the process works, here are some guidelines:
*You are absolutely welcome to come even if you don't bring food!
*Bring a friend!
*Please bring a dish to share; a good rule of thumb is try to bring enough food for 6 people.
*Please label your dish with the ingredients in it so people with food sensitivities can participate.
*We will have dishes, but if you are able, bring your own.

About the book: From forest trails in Korea, to islands in Finland, to eucalyptus groves in California, Florence Williams investigates the science behind nature’s positive effects on the brain. Delving into brand-new research, she uncovers the powers of the natural world to improve health, promote reflection and innovation, and strengthen our relationships. As our modern lives shift dramatically indoors, these ideas―and the answers they yield―are more urgent than ever.
