For hundreds of years, the beauty and fortitude of women have moved history's most outstanding composers to create a massive collection of works featuring their favorite ladyloves. Join soprano Jami Leonard and the Danville Symphony Orchestra for an oeuvre inspired by women, and the prolific female roles created for them throughout musical history.
The DSO and Maestro Jeremy Swerling will be featured independently as well, performing the colorful and vibrant twentieth-century masterpiece La Valse by impressionist master Maurice Ravel, and the Symphonic Dances from Leonard Bernstein's West Side Story.
