BAND OF PEACE
Band of Peace is a powerhouse on all fronts.
A veritable supergroup comprised of former members of several upstate New York bands – among them, Big Leg Emma, Little Mountain Band, and Sonic Garden – BOP is a unique force on the contemporary jam-band scene, due to its emphasis on solid songwriting and a refined, laid-back approach to improvisation that favors inter-band dialogue over grand-standing and substance over flash.
Drawing equally from the deep influential pools of roots music, Americana, rock, world music, and various hybrids thereof, BOP offers a refreshing take on the modern jam band aesthetic, one that marries ensemble virtuosity to a firm grasp on the craft of songwriting.
