Director Statement

Binge ∞ Purge was a labor of love by an incredibly dedicated cast & crew all working for free on a mission to bring awareness to eating disorders, most especially bulimia, with a compelling and unique story. As the writer/director I was privileged to work with a group of immeasurably talented and hardworking women. Our production company Living Proof Pictures has set out for the last five years to focus on stories with central female protagonists and stories, giving voices to the underrepresented and upholding the highest level of performance and writing. Those ideals we strive for have never been better exemplified than in Binge ∞ Purge and we couldn't be prouder to share it's message with you and all the audiences members it could potentially touch. Thank you.

Short Film, Wellness, Health, 15 mins

A woman on the mend from an abusive relationship struggles to overcome addiction and regain the daughter she longs to be reunited with. Time, distance, and self-doubt stand in her way of getting what she wants most.

Short Film, Wellness, Health, 27 mins

In “bOObs,” we first learn from medical doctors about myths surrounding mammography, such as mammograms are “early detection” and “low radiation”. We hear heart-breaking stories of how this breast cancer diagnostic test helped to tragically change the lives of three female patients. Then we learn the benefits of thermography in conjunction with ultrasound, and how these two painless tests — neither containing radiation — are capable of finding cancer years before a tumor forms, while having up to twice the accuracy of some mammography machines. Finally, we hear from doctors how financial greed played a large part in sending women down this frightful path in the first place.

Feature Film, Wellness, Health, 1 hour 13 mins

A college girl in Los Angeles struggles with life, romantic feelings and the possibility of death as her health declines to AIDS.
