Embark on a unique journey through the art of traditional Japanese kite making and flying at our exclusive workshop, led by Mikio Toki the world-renowned kite master from Japan. With a storied history in educating both domestic and international enthusiasts in this exquisite art since 1975, our kite master brings the ancient tradition of Edo-style kite crafting to life, right in front of your eyes!

This hands-on workshop invites participants of all ages to dive into the process of creating traditional kites, utilizing authentic handmade materials such as delicate "washi" paper and sturdy bamboo. Drawing inspiration from the kite master's own creations, adorned with mesmerizing images of samurai warriors, auspicious motifs from legendary Japanese storybooks, Kabuki theater, and Ukiyo-e art, you'll have the chance to personalize your kite. Let your creativity soar as you paint your favorite designs onto your kite, making it a flying piece of personal art.

We welcome families and individuals alike, children 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult, ensuring a fun and supportive environment for everyone. The highlight of the workshop is the unparalleled opportunity to learn how to fly your kite under the expert guidance of our kite master. This is a rare chance to connect with a genuine practitioner of this traditional Japanese art, as he shares techniques passed down through generations.

Don't miss this exclusive workshop, a blend of cultural education, hands-on creativity, and outdoor fun. Come join us and let your spirit fly high with your very own traditional Japanese kite.
