Slim Cessna's Auto Club is an American band hailing from Denver, Colorado. Made up of Slim Cessna, formerly a member of The Denver Gentlemen along with David Eugene Edwards and Jeffery-Paul of 16 Horsepower and Jay Munly.
Their music includes elements of country blues, Southern gospel, gothabilly and other forms loosely grouped as Americana or alternative country.
Slim Cessna's Auto Club released their fifth studio album, Unentitled, in March 2011.
This show is particularly special with the addition of Baltimore's, The Sterling Sister's. Featuring ornate, immaculate gothic folk lit up by vocal duels between George Cessna's rasp and Scout Para-Phillips' operatic lost-in-the-rafters voice, moving along in a doomsday march crossed with Western swing. A group that makes some obvious nods to 16 Horsepower and other Old-Testament invoking Goth-country bands.
