United States! England! Ireland!  And now it’s back for its 10th Anniversary limited run. (So ten years more harrowing and hilarious Hollywood horror stories than when it first opened)

AUDITION! THE MUSICAL, based on the all-too-true-life hilariously harrowing Hollywood experiences of the award-winning creative team of Chris DeCarlo and Evelyn Rudie AUDITION! is not a tell-all nor is it a gossip-fest. No names will be named, no villains indicted. Fingers will be pointed, however, for AUDITION! is a cautionary tale, a warning shot fired over the heads of those who would close their eyes to the less than spotless realities of the biz in favor of the apparent glamour and financial temptations they would covet for themselves or their children. And more, AUDITION! is a wake-up call for us all, as our lives become increasingly informed by the “reality” of the media, as we strive to emulate the mass-media “art” that has come to define the scripts of our lives, instead of that same “art” imitating the lives that used to inform its scripts. Turnabout may be fair play, but when that turnabout means life imitating art instead of the reverse, whether it be in the casting office, the workplace, or even the privacy of our own homes and minds, it’s time to take a closer look at the paradigm that inspires our ambitions, our goals and our dreams.
