Event Description

This is event is SOLD OUT. Standby tickets may become available at the door.

The visionary author is joined by an all-star lineup for a one-night-only celebration of her life and work.

Over the course of her extraordinary career, Margaret Atwood has published more than fifty books of fiction, poetry, critical essays, and graphic novels that push the bounds of reality—and are at times eerily prescient about the world in which we live. Actors, writers, and special guests pay tribute to Atwood with readings from across her work as well as items from the Library’s special collections that highlight her varied interests, from rare birds to the international movement for women’s suffrage. Don’t miss this unforgettable conversation with one of the most legendary authors of our time.

Join us early to view a one-night-only display from the Library’s special collections inspired by Atwood’s life and work. Come early! Doors open around 6:15pm.

Interested in coming to more than one event? Think ahead, and save with subscription packs. Buy tickets for three to five events and save 15%. Buy tickets for six or more events and save 20%.

An evening with Margaret Atwood, the Richard B. Salomon Distinguished Lecture, is made possible by an endowment established by family and friends of the late Richard B. Salomon. This event is also supported in part by the Consulate General of Canada.
