Event Description

Janet Cardiff and George Bures Miller discuss the work The Killing Machine (2007) with Glenn Lowry, David Rockefeller Director of The Museum of Modern Art.

One Work is a conversation series that features contemporary artists talking about the stories behind one specific work on view in the galleries. Each program, moderated by a MoMA staff member, addresses audience questions and offers insight into the artist’s process. One Work discussions take place on the first Thursday evening of the month during museum hours, and visitors are encouraged to view the featured artwork before and after the program.

The Killing Machine (2007) is on view on Floor 6, in the exhibition Surrounds: 11 Installations.

Program length: 60 minutes
