  • $25 Single Ticket (admits 1 adult tasting wine and cheese)

  • $13 non-taster ticket (admits 1 adult tasting cheese)

Groups of 10 or less may attend together without making appointments; larger groups are not permitted during this event. Tickets purchased are not refundable, changeable or exchangeable to another event and the winery you chose to start at when purchasing your tickets cannot be altered. Seneca Lake Wine Trail events are never cancelled. As with all of our events, Artisanal Cheese and Wine is aimed at audiences 21 and older. It is not suitable for children.

Preferred pairings with artisan cheese and wines:  One pairing no one can object to, is the mouthwatering combination of wine and cheese. Each is delicious on its own, but when you pair the two, magic can happen! Be it tannic, light, sweet, or dry, you can bet there’s a wine out there for every cheese.

Enjoy a self-guided tour around beautiful Seneca Lake. This event features intimate wine and cheese pairings at 10 Seneca Lake Wine Trail member wineries, each serving their wines with 3-4 cheese samples made by regional creameries from our co-sponsored the Finger Lakes Cheese Alliance, a nonprofit showcasing the area’s local artisan, family-made, farm fresh cheeses!  The following will participate in this event:

Important Event Group Size Policies: Because this event is a more intimate cheese and wine pairing, parties of 10 or less people can attend the event together without having to make appointments at the wineries; groups of 11 or more are not permitted.

Purchasing Tickets:  Tickets are non-refundable.  Tickets do not include lodging or transportation. Advance ticket sales end by 12:00 p.m. EST the Wednesday before the event weekend.  After that, for events that are not sold out, tickets will be available to purchase at a few designated wineries. Discount codes are not valid for tickets purchased during the event.

You must select a check in winery to start the event.  As the purchaser, you will present your state-issued photo ID (driver’s license) at your starting winery and their staff will have your actual cardstock tickets ready to hand you; only the purchaser (name on the order) can pick up the tickets.  If there is a gift item for the event, you will pick that up as well. Participating wineries will require that you have your actual cardstock ticket before you can begin enjoying this event. Printouts of the confirmation email from ShowClix do not qualify as tickets. Tickets will list the participating wineries along with event parameters and a mini-map on the back.

Each starting winery is given a limited quantity of tickets. If you are planning to attend the event with a group of friends/family/couples, it is important to purchase tickets on one order, to guarantee that all attendees will have the same starting winery. Please remember, bundles of tickets can only be picked up by the person who ordered them.

Sometimes our events sell out, so you should purchase your tickets well in advance of the event itself.

Check-in:  You may check in to your starting winery at any time during the event hours.  Important: you must present proof of I.D. that you are 21 years of age or older. Please be sure everyone in your party brings their state issued ID. Each winery is individually responsible for checking the age of customers, to make sure they are at least 21 years old before sampling, so it is likely that you will be proofed at more than one winery.

When you check in, you will be given a physical card stock ticket and then offered your first cheese and wine pairing; non-tasting ticket holders will receive cheese samples. This event features intimate wine and cheese pairings at 10 Seneca Lake Wine Trail member wineries, each serving their wines with 3-4 cheese samples made by regional creameries. Additional tastings are offered at the discretion of each winery. After visiting your starting winery, you are free to visit the remaining participating wineries in whichever order you like, at your leisure.

Hints:  Over the course of the event, we encourage you to prepare for your time on the Wine Trail by packing some snacks and a cooler. Cheese, crackers, bottled water, and other snacks between stops can help you preserve your palate as well as stay hydrated.

Dogs:  Dogs are welcome at nearly all of our wineries most of the time. However, during special event weekends, we encourage you to leave your four-legged friends at home. This is to ensure the best experience for all. Crowded tasting rooms can become overwhelming for your pooch. Please also respect our event attendees and winery staffers. Some are fearful or uncomfortable around dogs. Please be considerate and thoughtful when deciding whether to travel with your dog in tow during an event weekend.

Visible Intoxication:  The Seneca Lake Wine Trail supports responsible enjoyment of our wonderful wineries. We strongly recommend the use of designated drivers. New York State law prohibits anyone from serving alcohol to a visibly intoxicated person. This has nothing to do with whether you are driving or not. If you are visibly intoxicated, you will not be served. Our wineries reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who is in violation of the law or their winery policies. We want to provide a safe, enjoyable environment for all.

If you have any questions about this event or purchasing tickets, please call the administrative office during regular business hours Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm at 877-536-2717 or email 24/7 info@senecalakewine.com.
