Event Description
Art Beat – Quality vs Quantity

Meet Robert and Ada Brandegee, retired art dealers and collectors of antiques and folk art, as they share their insight into building collections of art. Learn from their personal stories about the objects they’ve amassed in their lifetime and how they balance the attraction of a beautiful item with its place in their overall plan.

Respected art dealers Robert and Ada Brandegee, now retired, live with their extensive collection of antiques and folk art in their South Side, Pittsburgh, loft. The couple also enjoy time in their second home located in Bedford, PA, set on a pristine hillside beside a stream. The historic c.1840s cabins were acquired in 1995 and carefully restored, rewired, and plumbed by Jim Whisner, a master craftsman who worked on 18th-century buildings at Historic Bedford Village.
