Event Description

In partnership with the American University of Armenia (AUA) please join us on Saturday, April 27, as we sit down with Artsakh War Veteran, Arman Vardanyan.

Arman Vardanyan served in the April 2016 Four-Day War in Artsakh, and is currently a student at AUA, holding the position of spokesperson for Honoring Those Who Served: Investing in our Veterans Education, a campaign launched by AUA that aims to secure a Scholarship Endowment Fund for attending Veteran students. Arman was the gracious recipient of the AGBU Asbeds Scholarship (2017-2018) and the Mario Mazzola & Luciana Cavallet Endowed Scholarship (2018-2019).

Arman is currently completing his Bachelor's in English & Communications at AUA, and plans to pursue a Master's in Political Science & International Affairs. It is his goal to one day become a diplomat and help facilitate peace in the region. He also aims to help Veterans throughout Armenia receive comprehensive care. His vision not only provides counseling, support groups, and mentoring, but also aims to destigmatize mental illness overall.

Join us to learn more about Artsakh and Arman's experiences, and to help create a mural to commemorate our fallen heroes—all accompanied by delicious finger foods and light refreshments.
