Antisemitism in America Today: Reality, Risk, and Response
Panel Discussion Featuring Ambassador Deborah Lipstadt and Mr. Brendan Murphy
Moderated by Ms. Barbara Ellison Rosenblit

From social media to college campuses to global politics, antisemitism shows up in ways that are both familiar and alarmingly new.

Join us for an open and engaging conversation with two leading voices in this space, Ambassador Deborah Lipstadt and Mr. Brendan Murphy, who bring deep expertise and personal insight to the topic. Guided by our moderator, Ms. Barbara Rosenblit, the discussion will explore where antisemitism is coming from, why it persists, and what we can do about it as individuals and as communities.

Ambassador Deborah Lipstadt is a renowned Holocaust historian, leading scholar on antisemitism, and former U.S. Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism. A longtime professor at Emory University and author of multiple influential books, she is internationally recognized for her landmark legal victory against Holocaust denial and her work confronting antisemitism in both academic and public spheres.

Mr. Brendan Murphy is the founding director of the Bearing Witness Institute and an award-winning history educator at Marist School who has spent three decades advancing Holocaust education and interfaith dialogue. A nationally sought-after presenter on antisemitism, he is the recipient of honors from the ADL, the Anne Frank Center, and the Georgia Commission on the Holocaust, and is widely recognized for bringing diverse faith communities together to confront hate and prejudice.

Ms. Barbara Ellison Rosenblit is Assistant Programming Director at the Bearing Witness Institute and an award-winning Jewish educator with decades of experience teaching humanities and Jewish studies, including at The Weber School in Atlanta and in Israel and Jerusalem. A recipient of the Covenant Award for Excellence in Jewish Education, she brings a global, interdisciplinary perspective to confronting antisemitism through history, culture, and education.
