Event Description
Angst: raising awareness around anxiety

We invite the community to a viewing of the documentary “Angst,” moderated by Meg Ferron, Partnership Development Specialist with Angst movie. Angst is a 2017 documentary that examines anxiety, its causes and effects, and what we can do about it. It features relatable interviews with children and young adults who suffer or have suffered from anxiety, and includes a cameo by Michael Phelps. A panel discussion, including the Derby counselors, the Derby social worker, as well as Valerie Kaplansky, a local family counseling therapist, will follow the screening with time for questions. Learn more about the film at http://angstmovie.com. We strongly encourage parents to attend with their students.
