An Evening with Author, Historian Nathaniel Philbrick
A Cape Cod exclusive speaking engagement and book signing with award-winning author, historian and Nantucket resident Nathaniel Philbrick on Wednesday evening December 2, 2015 at 7pm. Wine & hors d’oeuvres 6pm.
Mr. Philbrick will be speaking about the upcoming major motion picture based on his New York Times bestselling novel In the Heart of the Sea: The Tragedy of the Whaleship Essex”. The film is directed by Academy Award-Winner Ron Howard and is scheduled to be released on December 11, 2015 just 9 days after Mr. Philbrick’s appearance at CCMNH.
In the Heart of the Sea is a monumental work of history forever placing the Essex tragedy in the American historical canon and will soon make cinematic history as an exciting, compelling and suspenseful story of survival on the high seas.
Nathaniel Philbrick’s other literary works include Mayflower, Away Off Shore, Sea of Glory, The Last Stand, Why Read Moby Dick, Bunker Hill, and his latest novel, the 2nd in the Revolution trilogy, Valiant Ambition.
The presentation will be $50 per person and includes wine & hors d’oeuvres at 6pm, Museum exhibits, Nathaniel Philbrick at 7pm followed by Q&A and book signing. Reservations are required!
