Among Friends is an aggregation of some of the finest acoustic musicians in Central Virginia. Led by George Turman, they have been putting on warm and engaging acoustic-based concerts annually since 1998. The musical styles they perform range from singer-songwriter and traditional folk music, to bluegrass, to blues, and beyond. As the name implies, the members are longtime friends. This special relationship infuses the music with a genuine warmth and positive energy that is shared with the audience, and reflected back to the performers.
