ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Alyssa Gross is originally from Texas and was living in Dallas when she was first introduced to mahjong. After relocating to Chicago, Alyssa began hosting regular meetups at various locations around the city, teaching anyone who showed up. This led to the launch of her business, The Mahjong Society. Mahjong quickly gained popularity in Chicago, and Alyssa found herself teaching multiple private lessons each week. Since then, The Mahjong Society (TMS) has expanded, bringing on additional instructors and offering private lessons, bi-weekly meetups, parties, and events. This is her first book.
