The world knows Allen Toussaint as a legendary performer, songwriter and producer. But New Orleans knows that Mr. Toussaint was also a generous philanthropist, and founder of New Orleans Artists Against Hunger & Homelessness (NOAAHH). Please join Music Night On Jupiter and Pittsburgh Winery in a tribute to the life and music of Mr. Toussaint, featuring performances by local pianists Bill Maruca, John Gresh, Tom Roberts and Matt Jordan. We expect many more musicians to join the bill, so stay tuned to this space for updates.
Money raised during this event will be donated to NOAAHH.
It seems appropriate that this event follows our national holiday dedicated to family, community and thankfulness, which we celebrate with a feast of abundance. Still basking in the glow of Thanksgiving, we hope the attendees will be generous in support of NOAAHH, an organization dedicated to alleviating hunger and homelessness. There will be no set amount for admission, please give as you are able.
Allen Toussaint was, to say the least, a class act. We encourage attendees to wear their finery in honor of one of the sharpest-dressed gentlemen in New Orleans (or anywhere else).
NOAAHH is a 501(c)(3) accredited charitable organization. Tax deduction information will be provided to anyone caring to make a significant donation.
