Wines of Jura

Jura, a tiny region in France that is neglected by most restaurant lists and only skimmed over in wine classes.

Not until WSET Diploma do we explore this region as there is so much to learn about the wine world!.

Jura makes both white and red wines with familiar grapes and not so familiar ones. 

We will explore both and they make a very specific type of wine called Vin Jaune, which we will taste.

Deb will dig deep into her WSET Diploma wisdom to talk about the history, traditions, and new approaches in Jura and the

sub regions and laws will be explained and we will learn about the magic of this region.

Deb has been sipping on wines from the Jura ever since discovering them in a restaurant in Scottsdale, AZ a couple of

decades ago. It pays to ask the Sommelier for what is different and unusual, you never know what they have behind the

curtain.
