Rewind to 1967, a young girl of 14 moves to Nashville to join her father and meet his new wife, Tammy Wynette. Not many people had heard of Tammy at that point, but that was all about to change! Don't miss this incredible musical based on the true story of Tammy Wynette, as told by her one time step-daughter, Donna Chapel.
This moving and entertaining musical began at the birth of Tammy Wynette’s stardom and follows her meteoric rise. Told by Donna Chapel, who was Tammy’s stepdaughter, young Donna traveled with her father, Don Chapel, as Tammy's backup singer. During this time Tammy’s career skyrocketed! Donna Chapel was born and raised in New Richmond, as was Bob Baker, the writer and director of the production. Tammy came to New Richmond during the time period of the play.
