Original Music Series at The Ritz On Main

The Ritz On Main proudly presents an night of original music with three great recording artists.

First from Central PA we have Jett Prescott, who is a young up and coming artist and recently released his first EP entitled “Jett Prescott”. Jett Prescott performances showcase his original music alongside well-known covers in his own unique style. Jett performs all songs while accompanying himself on piano or acoustic guitar. King Friday hails from the Pittsburgh, Pa region and includes members of the legendary band “Crack The Sky”. Their music is described as commercial progressive rock and the members of the band have opened for acts such as Styx, Supertramp, Rush, Foreigner, Electric Light Orchestra, Yes, ZZ Top, Kansas, Edgar Winter, Frank Zappa, and Boston. Rounding out the evening lineup is Smashbox Symphony, who are dedicated to bringing their brand of Modern/Retro Art rock music to the foreground of today’s music scene. Smashbox Symphony has been described as a band with all the musical excitement of such classic acts as Queen, Yes and Duran Duran all the way to The Killers and Coldplay . Though the bands roots are in live performance, Smashbox Symphony came together as a recording project and produced and released their first album titled OnE. The songs hit on a variety of themes and emotions, from lost love, fame, fortune, life, death, God and their interpretation of a crazy music business. With their polyrhythmic beats, soaring guitars and rich orchestrations Smashbox Symphony prove themselves to be an absolutely modern take on retro, truly a classic in the making.
The members of Smashbox Symphony are known both regionally and nationally. Three of the group, Jeff Adams (Guitar, Guitar Synth, Vocals), David Utter (Guitar , Vocals) and Billy Trainor (Drums, Percussion, Keyboards) are from Capitol Recording Artists group Facedancer which had charted albums both in the US and the UK.
