Event Description

Experience a shadow puppet performance inspired by the stories of local Chinese-American elders.

If you had to move to a faraway place, what would you pack? How would you feel? These questions are at the heart of Prologue Part II, a unique shadow puppet performance hosted in person at Chatham Square Library.

This performance follows the journeys of Chinese women from Brooklyn as they share their stories through shadow play, object manipulation, and music. Created and performed by Spica Wobbe and Margaret Yuen, this captivating show explores the complex emotions of immigration and building new roots in another country.

The performance will run for approximately 35 minutes, followed by a talkback with the performers presented in Cantonese.

To join in person | Please be sure to register for an In-Person Ticket. Doors will open 30 minutes before the program begins.

For free events, we generally overbook to ensure a full house. Priority will be given to those who have registered in advance, but registration does not guarantee admission.
