Last year, this event drew over 1,300 people over 2 days. There will be three sessions this year. * Friday, Oct 4th from 5pm-11pm (18 & over only) * Saturday, Oct 5th from 1-4pm (Kid's Session - all ages) * Saturday, Oct 5th from 5pm-11pm (18 & over only) The Division Street parking lot in Sewickley will turn into a German beer garden complete with a 40�x90� tent, great food, and of course, plenty of beer. Great Lakes Brewing Company will be providing kegs that will be used in a keg tapping ceremony to be held on Friday night. The music at the 2nd Sewickley Oktoberfest is sure to be a big draw � already booked are local Pittsburgh favorites Autobahn Band & The Barons, M�del J�ger (formerly known as Gaudi Buam), and Grammy-nominated polka sensations The Johnny Koenig Band. Dust off your dirndl or leiderhosen because we are having a costume contest at each session with great prizes. New this year is the Kids� Oktoberfest on Saturday, October 5th. We�ll have fun activities like costume contests, pretzel toss, and, back for the second year, the Dachshund Dash. Register for you Dachshund in the Dash for a chance to win great prizes. Prizes will be given out for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. Sewickley Oktoberfest is the only fundraiser for Village Green Partners, a Sewickley nonprofit organization that runs the Explore Sewickley marketing campaign, coordinates most of the local events (such as Unleashed, Yuletide, and the Soup Crawl), and engages in business development efforts to fill vacancies in town.
