Juno award winning Canadian vocalist Molly Johnson’s voice speaks to an emotional depth that few vocalists ever reach. Like the woman behind it, it is a voice filled with humour, joy, surprise, sassiness and, of course, love. As a highly respected musician and Officer of The Order of Canada, Molly's performances of classic jazz, popular standards and soulful originals, are the perfect musical paring with the Saskatoon Jazz Orchestra. Repertoire will include the music of Billy Holiday and her contemporaries reimagined and, instrumental pieces showcasing members of the Saskatoon Jazz Orchestra. The SJO has featured many prominent guest artists such as Carol Welsman, Denzal Sinclaire, Robert Young, PJ Perry, Phil Dwyer, Christine Jensen, Ingrid Jensen, Mark Fewer, Brad Turner, Hugh Fraser, Kelly Jefferson, Mike Rud, and Jim Head.
