The fireworks last long past New Years when acclaimed coloratura mezzo-soprano Jennifer Rivera joins fortepianist Kenneth Merrill for an evening of sparkling fioritura and compositional rarities from the master of Opera Buffa and famous gourmand, Giaochino Rossini.  Also on the program are works by protean genius singer, pianist and composer Pauline Viardot, and other treasures from the Rossini circle.

A wine and cheese reception will follow the concert.
