About The Jaggerz
When you mention The Jaggerz to a Pittsburgher, chances are that person will burst into a chorus of 'THE RAPPER'.
In 1968, the Jaggerz first album 'INTRODUCING THE JAGGERZ' spawned their first two regional hits 'Baby I Love You' and 'Gotta Find My Way Back Home'.
In 1970, they recorded their second album 'We Went to Different Schools Together'. After nine weeks on the charts, their song ‘The Rapper’ edged out Brook Benton’s “Rainy Night in Georgia” and Simon & Garfunkel’s “Bridge Over Troubled Water”. In March of that year, the band received their gold record for having the #1 song in the Country.
The Jaggerz have recorded 11 singles and seven albums including one with legendary radio personality the late Wolfman Jack.
Original members, Jimmie Ross & Benny Faiella along with Hermi Granati (Keyboards), Chris Patarini (Sax), Paul Martello (Drums) and Dennis McAbee (Guitar) carry on the bands signature sound of great harmonies.
